this overwhelming convergance

this transition from semester end to the rest of my life is beyond rich.
yesterday Preston and I set up my involvement with Walk Tall, a land based cultural program through the Carrier Sekani family services organization down the street from my house. We will be on the land north of Takla early june, and again later in the summer with 10 youth who've trained and built the capacity.

- then today -

Imagine 60 people interacting with beautiful white hides, stretching, softening, playing. a circle of people holding another on top, as a hide trampoline, launching laughter into the air.
there's something that happens when people work together
i watched people remember something latent in dna
cooperation - connection - time
there was a richness for me, each hour, each new group, each opportunity to begin a circle, end a circle
we became part of something larger than ourselves.
with each other, with the hide, with our lungs filling with air
tears came
laughter came
bold words came
changes - shifts - people breaking patterns
sometimes it's simply not using opportunities to revel with the sacred that may be the missing ingredient.
