i realize
there's cities with galleries and venues for the arts
while these peripheral places are thought empty
though
time reveals the ways art manifests in the living of life
not the comment of

There is a culture to these places held
in skin that knows winter's cold, insects, and sweat

it's the art of being that attracts me to these places
where the texture of daily decisions stand as one's
artists statement

we might not have the galleries or venues
but we also may not need those potent rushes
with all this living
