time(life)

So I've come across a book titled Momo, which is a story about a village that changes with the commodification of time. I've yet had time to read the story, however while walking in Lindley valley I remembered this time last year, not believing myself, really feeling the manipulative nature of paying rent and thus needing paid work, which began a cycle of me forfeiting some decision making, over the use of my time(life). About this time last year I thought to myself 'i'm done paying somebody to own a house that they don't need' and one year later I haven't spent a cent.
With that thought, the life of this last year has been full of working with people. I can count at least 4 wood sheds I've filled, for different people, living on Cortez with the Verchur's, Laura in Hamilton, Chris at the Rising Tide Bakery on Graeme Island (QCI), Paula in Peterborough and now with bill ann mike, charles, jon, dan and patrick at Simpler Thyme.

Subsumed within People sharing this
a world view of experience, knowing
private gain from that this life is
all that is shared amazing when shared.
on this earth.

I've never worked harder, maybe, and in that way I've never been as strong as I am now, nor work more meaningful. I wish for every person the opportunity to do work with intrinsic value, enough to forgo monetary gain, as I may have never felt so alive.

((though don't worry, I do realize the necessity of money and profession. I do dabble in that as well, though to be alive is much more than those choices.))

One can be rich with money as easily as rich for not needing money.
